South Plains Rural Health Services includes an optical store where patients can purchase glasses and frames after an eye exam, while the on-site pharmacy provides a convenient place to pick up prescriptions. Immunizations and laboratory services are also available. SPRHS accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and most private health insurance plans. They also serve individuals that are not covered by health insurance. Patients are charged for services on a sliding fee scale based on the household size and income. In accordance with federal regulations, proof of income must be provided for the patient to be eligible for any sliding fee discount on services.
